Unit Description

In this unit students will undertake an individual research project in which primary data shall be collected, analysed and discussed. The topic of this project and its subsequent implementation shall be determined in consultation with an academic supervisor.

Assessment Notes

Dissertation/dissertation by journal article format (minimum one article (equivalent to 15,000 words) plus an applied research portfolio equivalent to 7,500 words, or two publishable journal articles). Topic to be negotiated with supervisor. An applied research portfolio may consist of, but is not limited to: literature reviews; meta-analyses; scoping studies; portfolio of professional activities. Other content may be negotiated with the approval of the Course Coordinator.

  1. demonstrate a deep understanding of a particular field of study;
