This unit develops students' understandings of contemporary approaches to change and decision-making processes involving Indigenous communities with particular reference made to Australia and comparable nations. Attention is given to the frameworks for decision-making and opportunities for participation, negotiation and consultation with Indigenous communities. The unit provides important conceptual and contextual information relevant to a range of professional environments.
