Unit information
Italian is the third most common language in the EU. If you plan to travel or do business in our global economic environment, knowledge of Italian will help you communicate with others in your industry.
This unit is the sequel to the two introductory Italian units. It aims to bring you to a point where you can more competently read and understand, and more accurately write and speak, in Italian.
The unit involves a partial revision and practice of basic grammatical points introduced in first-year Italian and the reading and appreciation of appropriate texts. You will use your knowledge of Italian to discuss Italian culture, history, art and lifestyle.

Good Universities Guide 2024Studying online
At UNE we know it takes more than just being online to be a great online university. It takes time and experience. We pioneered distance education for working adults back in the 1950s, so we’ve been doing this longer than any other Australian university.
We understand the challenges faced by busy adults studying at home. We know that a vital part of online study is your engagement with the learning community. Communication with your classmates, teaching staff and university support staff will enhance your study experience and ensure that your skills extend beyond the subject matter. UNE’s teaching staff are experts in their field which is why UNE consistently receives five stars from students for teaching quality, support and overall experience.*
