Learning Outcomes (LO) Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
  1. demonstrate an advanced understanding of and critically analyse complex arguments from contemporary political philosophy;
  2. demonstrate both an advanced understanding of the ideas of the seminal Western political thinkers studied and expert critical reasoning skills;
  3. demonstrate expert judgement and an advanced knowledge of research principles through the application of theories, concepts and approaches in political science to the planning and execution of a coherent and sustained written argument; and
  4. demonstrate development of research and written analysis skills at a level appropriate to postgrauate students.
