Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:
exhibit an advanced, integrated, historically informed and in-depth knowledge of the key concepts of environmental politics, be able to relate these to contemporary conditions, and to plot possible future policy directions;
understand, and critically and comparatively analyse the ways environmental conditions and challenges - especially in the areas of food and energy requirements - have shaped and challenged different political formations;
acquire and deploy strategies for reflective and self-critical learning in creative problem-solving in an environment of diverse contexts and competing paradigms; and
work with high level personal responsibility in an autonomous, collaboratively and adaptable knowledge-centred environment.
