Enrolments will remain INVALID until the Moodle preparation module is successfully completed. This must be done prior to the commencement of the Trimester in which you enrol, to ensure your enrolment will be approved.

No Advanced Standing will be granted for work already undertaken.

Some courses may not accommodate this unit. If this is the case with your enrolment, you will be un-enrolled and notified via email.

Law Students - WORK300 - Law is only available in Trimester 2.

This unit cannot be completed overseas. The work placement must be undertaken in Australia.

The ability to enrol in this unit will be removed on:

Unit Description

The unit enables students to apply their academic knowledge in a workplace context, and to reflect and report on the experience, thus increasing their level of employability. The work includes: 1) 120 hours of fully supervised professional activity or directed investigation in an Australian based host workplace; 2) not more than 30 hours of additional study and assignment preparation including the Online Preparation unit.

The unit will require the student to complete the following: a) an Online Preparation unit, prior to the commencement of the enrolled trimester and any work placement; b) find a host employer for the work placement; c) find a suitable academic to set an assessment task/s for the unit; and d) the assessment task/s.

Please note that the work placement is not part of the academic assessment, but the hours will need to be confirmed by the Host Employer.
